New Roles of Restylane
Restylane, 2006 miracle filler for soft tissue filling is finding usefulness beyond facial grooves, lip enlargements and laugh lines. Some of the new rolls for Restylane are:

Correction of Tear Troughs – Tear troughs are hollows under the eye sockets. These usually appear in your mid-30s, but they can develop earlier in some people. For many, tear troughs are aesthetically bothersome and can’t be effectively camouflaged with make up. Both Restylane and Radiesse are effective in treating tear troughs.
Hands – As you age, the backs of your hands can lose their full appearance, making them look much older than you are. Restylane has proven to be effective in treatment of this condition.
Earlobes – Earlobes can also loose their fullness as you age, becoming saggy and listless. Restylane can be injected directly into earlobes to restore the young, full appearance of your earlier years.
Eyebrow Enhancement – The slant and arch of your eyebrows are important components of facial beauty. As you age, your eyebrows can begin to sag, making you appear older. While this can be corrected with brow lift surgery, Restylane can achieve many of the same results.

New Roles of BOTOX in Cosmetic Enhancement
For years, BOTOX® has been used to smooth lines, creases, and wrinkles in the brow and around the mouth. More recently, BOTOX® has been used to achieve beautiful results in:

Correcting Chin Dimples – Dimples can appear in the chin as a result of muscle attachments under the surface of the skin. These dimples are more pronounced when smiling, making a cobblestone look on your chin. BOTOX® can be used to smooth the appearance of these dimples.
Smoothing Neck Muscles – The Platysma muscles in your neck can cause the skin on your neck to develop a ropy appearance. BOTOX® can be used to smooth these muscle bands, providing you with smooth neck skin.

Radiesse Gets Approval for Soft Tissue Use
Radiesse received its FDA approval for soft tissue use in facial procedures in December, 2006. Radiesse is a suspension of 30% calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres in 70% gel, consisting of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, glycerine, and sterile water.

During Radiesse procedures, Radiesse is injected under the skin. The gel is absorbed soon after injection while the calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres remain, causing more collagen to develop beneath the skin. As collagen develops, it restores the healthy, full appearance in your skin that can be lost as you age. Radiesse results typically last between six and nine months, at which point, the area can be touched up.

Radiesse is not suitable for injections to lips since it has tendency to form nodules.

Ultrasoft Lip Implants — A New Option for Fuller Sexier Lips
Ultrasoft is newly designed Gortex implant, which gives permanent lip fullness. Implant is available in different sizes, thus degree of fullness can be customized for each individual need. Procedure itself takes 30 to 40 minutes under local anesthesia. Patients can drive themselves home.

Ultrasoft Implants for Facial Enhancement — A New Option for Laugh Lines and Brow Area
Ultrasoft implants are also available to fill into laugh lines and brow depressions. This implant promises longer lasting results than collagen and alloderm. Ultrasoft grafts are available in different designs and sizes, thus enabling design of a custom solution to each situation.

The procedure itself is simple outpatient procedure, which is done under local anesthesia with virtually no down time. This procedure can be done at same time as a face lift or any other plastic surgery.

C-C Peel (Carbolic-Croton Peel)
A new option for facial lines and sun damage is now available at our center. It is called C-C Peel. C-C is short for Carbolic-Croton, which are two active ingredients of this peel solution. This peel offers customizable options in treating sun-damaged skin of the face. It is also very effective in reducing lip lines and crow's feet lines.

Since the level of sun damage and extent of these lines varies in different areas of the face, one solution will not fit all situations. By using different combinations of Carbolic Acid and Croton oil in the peel solution, it is possible to customize peel to each area of the face. Thus it is possible to deliver precise effect to each area.

C-C peels require anesthesia and there is need for 7-10 days to completely recover from the peel and healing. However results are remarkable. It is a great option to revitalize severely sun-damaged skin.
